Company Formation
Trade Mark Registration

A Trademark in general refers to a “brand” or “logo” which can be associated with someone be it individual, firm or a company. It keeps the uniqueness of anybody's business name, distinctive catch phrases, taglines or captions.

By the passage of time, a Trademark gradually becomes the most valuable asset of any business. Trademarks such as Pepsi, Dell, IBM, Reliance, serves as an indication about the maker of the goods as well as an indication of quality.

Thus it becomes essential for a business to obtain trademark registration for the business name/trade name under the Trademarks Act. Mere Registration of a company or business name under the Companies Act does not in itself give protection against others who might use identical or similar name or fake their established brand of goods.

Use of TM, SM and ® symbols

'TM' stands for Trademark and 'SM' stands for Servicemark. The use of TM and SM symbols notifies the public that the company is claiming exclusive ownership of the trademark and has filed an application for registration of the same in their name.

The ® symbol, can be used only once the trademark is registered and the registration certificate is issued. Also, you may use the registration symbol only in connection with the goods and/or services in respect of which the trademark is registered.

The registration process is the same for both trademarks and servicemarks.

We at NewCompanyIndia.com provides such kind of TM registration at a very nominal cost of Rs.6500 per application.
